The heavy-duty industrial specification grade construction provides years of reliable service, especially in wet and damp locations. They also provide compliance with the requirements in Article 406. 9 of the National Electrical Code (NEC), which states that all 15- and 20-ampere, 125- and 250-volt nonlocking-type receptacles shall be listed and so identified as the weather-resistant type.
